DESCRIPTION: Droz & Perret, St. Imier, Switzerland, man's pocket watch, 15 jewels, stem wind and pin set, straight line damascened nickel plate movement with counterpoised lever escapement, in a 14 karat, rose gold, reeded edge, engraved hunting case with maker's details engraved on gold cuvette, and Roman numeral, single sunk, white enamel dial with blued steel hands, serial #29531, 52mm, 113.9g TW, c1875.
CONDITION: CASE: Dents; Dings and pin pricks; Scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on cuvette; Engraving with moderate wear; Cover extends beyond 90 degrees when opened, front, 100deg.; Hinge plugs absent; Polish residue; Bow gold filed; Minor chips and scratches on crystal; Crown worn; Precious metal content tested. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, very light; Scratches minor to dial; Seconds bit abraded by seconds hand; Specks of dirt / dust. HANDS: Replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Scratches on winding wheel; Winding wheel has spots of minor oxidation; Barrel bridge screws replaced; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Broken mainspring, will run with pressure on center wheel.
